white noise

there are so many things that keep us connected...facebook, myspace, twitter (which i will never ever jump on board with, although it seems the whole world is getting sucked into that), and this blog for example. there are things that help us keep up with each other, there's a lot of information out there, there's a lot that's being said. and even though there is a lot being said, there isn't really a lot of substantial conversation. there's a lot of white noise. and with all these mediums of decidedly inadequate communication, i don't feel that i connect with hardly anyone anymore. there is no honest conversation.

and i guess that's all i really want. an honest conversation. be honest with me and i'll be honest with you. to connect with people the way we were meant to connect with each other. not through a computer screen, but face to face.

and yet, ironically, this is the only way i can reach you. i hope this finds you well, and welcome to the blog.

I feel the same thing when it comes to communication.
I find myself lacking the feeling of connection with people but at the same time, most of the people I am surrounded by throughout the day don't feel the same need to have an actual meaningful conversation. It's always gossip. Always grudges that haven't been let go.

I want to talk about something real. Something sincere. Something significant.
